This summer my friend Heather was looking for cute bedding for her soon to be baby girl. She couldn't find anything she liked that was less than a $300 bucks. With my barely-a-sewer mentality I said, "I could totally make you cute bedding for way less than that!" Having no clue what we were doing, we used her little boys crib bedding for a pattern, sketched out what we wanted the new stuff to look like and made up some measurements for the fabric we'd need. Then off to the fabric store we went. About $60-80 later we had tons of cute material and a foam pad for the bumper. Luckily I was headed home to CA for awhile this so my mom could help make sure this didn't turn into a big, huge disaster! With the (major) help of my mom, a few trips to the fabric store, lots of unstitching, a few muttered words of frustration, more unstitching, and lots of hours later......here is the finished product:
